Eye Hath Not Seen

Prophetic utterance long ago

Did foretell it would be so

Virgin to conceive and give birth

To show men that they had worth

A light born into a world dark and cold

Wisemen would soon bring Him gold

Quickly swaddled, rough cloth on skin

A manger baby to deliver us from sin

The child grew, waxed bold and brave

Soon a man He walked the wave

His love did make the blind to see

Lame to walk, prisoners set free

Jesus for us, did count the cost

Gave His all upon the cross

Back again in manger like tomb

Life renewed like from the womb

Virgin conceived and did give birth

Showed men that they had worth

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen,
nor ear heard, neither have entered into
the heart of man, the things which God
hath prepared for them that love him.
1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV
